What is Smartclass?
Over the last few decades, everything has changed in our lives with the all pervasive intervention of technology. However classrooms have remained untouched by technology for far too long — chalk and blackboard, packed classrooms and limited tools to explain abstract ideas.
Smartclass brings about a complete transformation in classrooms. A Science teacher explaining DNA replication can show a 3D animation on a large screen, zoom, freeze and annotate. A History teacher can take students on a virtual walk through the Harappan Civilisation. A Geography teacher can show a virtual Block mountain being formed — with engaging animations, colours, music and voice.
Towards the end of the class, teachers display questions on screen and every child answers with a personal answering device (SAS). Instant score sheets help re-teach parts that were not understood well.
